Identification is a major key in catching criminals and what they are prone to do. If you know the criminal, you know what they are and are not capable of, which can save precious time in solving cases.

Biometrics (Bios-life, Metron-measure)  is when electronic equipment is used to identify people. two forms of identification i can explain, the iris (colored part of the eye) is photographed and special points on the iris are measured for tone and recorded. These points on a person's iris never change during a person's life (except in cases such as damage to the eye).
